Christine’s 60th birthday party was hosted at the Water Rat Hotel in South Melbourne and was a celebration fit for a queen. With immaculately styled flowers, candlelight and props displayed in every direction, it certainly was a sight to be seen.
As guests embarked up the staircase to the main event space, they were greeted with florals cascading from the bannister, and masses of twinkling candlelight lining the staircase and tucked into corners and displayed on windowsills and shelving.
The feature piece on the dance floor consisted of a spectacular balloon garland in a colour palette of rose gold, peach and white which hovered over a collection of candles and a light-up number 60 marking the milestone.
On all surfaces stunning premium florals were styled adhering to a botanical colour palette of white, soft pink and peach. Flowers consisted of luscious waterfall phalaenopsis orchids, hand-peeled roses, hydrangea, lisianthus and pampas grass displayed in gold vessels. The beautiful florals were complemented by sparkling candles displayed in clear glass cylinders and gold tea light votives.
Guests nibbled on an exquisitely presented grazing table accompanied by a clam-shaped ice sculpture housing freshly shucked oysters with both displays finished with clusters of matching blooms throughout.
