A recent addition to the Victoria Whitelaw School of Flowers lesson schedule is the Full Day Bridal Design and Décor class. In this class you will learn how to create a beautiful collection of wedding botanicals whilst enjoying high tea and sampling a selection of delicious sweet and savoury treats.
Perhaps one of the most important elements of any wedding is the beautiful bride’s bouquet. In our class you will learn how to create a natural stemmed wedding bouquet, from straussing techniques, to design and composition, and the final touches of taping and binding.
You will complete the bridal set with a perfectly complementing buttonhole and wrist corsage, learning the technical aspects of wiring and taping, as well as construction and design. Finally, under the guidance of your teacher, the class will together create a stunning garland of seasonal blooms and lush trailing foliage to adorn the bridal table.
This lesson is suitable for those working in the floristry and event industries wanting to further their skills, or those who enjoy dabbling with flowers and are interested in learning something new. As with all our classes, your creations will be yours to take home and enjoy at the end of the day.
We have received the most wonderful feedback from our students about our bridal class. Past student Laura commented:
“Great class! Really enjoyed the entire day with huge quantities of flowers to create with. Jemina the instructor was brilliant, patient and super fun. I went home feeling so proud of what I made. Lots of pieces to make and worth every dollar.”
Our next Full Day Bridal Design and Décor class is scheduled for Saturday 3rd November 2018 at our lavish school and production house.
